Why did i put gameover? Heavy Rain doesn't have a gameover. At first it sounded a bit strange... A gameover implies a wrong and right way to play. If everyone follows the right choice, then its not really about choice
But the level of choice can be a little too much for a small production aiming for next gen consoles. So an anime style or other drawing style would be best suited.
By heirachy it means you all start from the top, the same place, but as you go further down they're different options
I may put a few more videos of this show (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun)
Heavy Rain uses motion capture. Its the process of recording movement and translating that movement onto a digital model.
A large chunk of this game is the acting, so when the acting is done/complete the programming, rendering etc is a piece of cake, right? Wrong.
Yet this still could be done by a group (just the acting at least)
Advantages Motion capture offers several advantages over traditional computer animation of a 3D model:
More rapid, even real time results can be obtained.
The amount of animation data that can be produced within a given time is extremely large when compared to traditional animation techniques. This contributes to both cost effectiveness and meeting production deadlines.
Potential for free software and third party solutions reducing its costs
Disadvantages
Specific hardware and special programs are required to obtain and process the data.
The cost of the software, equipment and personnel required can potentially be prohibitive for small productions
When problems occur it is easier to reshoot the scene rather than trying to manipulate the data. Only a few systems allow real time viewing of the data to decide if the take needs to be redone.
EASIER
(note: Valkayrie One was for the PS3, Valkayrie Two has moved to the PSP)
If Agency 9 were the only consultant we knew about, that would be pretty lame. The more consultants we know the better. Also some of them will be more specific to certain genres. For example, Agency 9 focuses on maps, whereas if i was interested in a 2D fighting style I'd have to look elsewhere for another consultant
And yes there will be a kick ass game, got to love the music towards the end
Noticed Visual3D appears twice, that becasue its xbox360 exclusive...as in devoted to 360
These guys/firms are pretty much like consultants, you tell them your specifications, then they do what they do (programming etc) and then they come back to you with a bill, a huge bill
My guess is theres really good, and really bad consultants. As we'll seen later some go more into more specific areas
Unfortunately there aren't any Japanese consultants in the list here, cause then we'd see really good stuff...yet Just Cause 2 does appear in one of these sites
