Parappa catchy stuff

I need to go just as bad as you.
What I had this morning
I don’t even wanna say to you.
Kick! Punch! Turn and chop the door
Or, I will fall to the floor.
Kick! Punch! Turn and chop the door
Or, I will fall to the floor.

Hatatatatatatatatah!

#2

U, uh, u, uh
No way!
I’ve been sitting in my car
Yes, now for days.
Did you check the toilets on the right?
Did you check the toilets on the left?
Did you check the toilets on the right?
Did you check the toilets on the left?

OK, OK, you win.

#3

Ribet, ribet
I can’t hold it
Last toilet I had, I already sold it.
In the rain or in the snow
I’ve got the funky flow
But, now I really gotta go.
The toilet over there
Will bring you luck
So give, I’ve got no time to spare.

Ah, me lose to you
I’m outta here.

#4

Walk the walk
Even if you can’t talk the talk
Bwock! I gotta call.
I am a chicken from the kitchen
And I ain’t kiddin’ although
Nothing is written.
Crack! Break! Fix the door, you know
I gotta go, so just open up, you know.
Crack! Break! Fix the door, you know
I gotta go, so just open up, you know.

Goldilocks (the consumer) and the three bears

Fotunately porridge is big business for Fleur and Abi Emery. You can just plop their product in the microwave at your ideal temperature. But as far as celebrities go, you'll never get that exact feeling from your younger days, with the new singers today

Papa don't preach
Wiki
The song's musical style combines pop and classical rhythms, and its lyrics deal with teenage pregnancy and abortion. It was written by Brian Elliot with additional lyrics by Madonna. It was based on teen gossip he heard outside Elliot's studio, which has a large front window that doubles as a mirror where schoolgirls from the North Hollywood High School in Los Angeles regularly stopped to fix their hair and chat. Shortly after its release, the song caused heated discussions about its lyrical content. Women's organizations and others in the family planning field criticized Madonna for encouraging teenage pregnancy, while groups opposed to abortion saw it as a positive pro-life message. The song also caused her first conflict with the Vatican, as she dedicated it to Pope John Paul II, who urged Italian fans to boycott her concerts during the Who's That Girl World Tour in 1987. In 2002, the song was recorded as a hard rock version by British singer Kelly Osbourne

Personal comment

The orignal is so much better
. As well as the video.
Makes more sense than Osbourne's
Madonna's dancing is a bit weird but yeah at the time she was hot

Kelly is too modest when compared to Madonna

And Gaga is too...gaga when compared to Madonna. Though I'd be curious to hear her remake Papa Don't Preach

Madonna is a bit of an icon, like Cher, best remembered for her glory days. Okay then maybe Britney Spears could be compared to Madonna? Only thing is what I remember most (if not only) is Oh Baby Baby, her breakdowns and her manager. She's nuts

So that rules all 3 out.
And here's the classic
song Papa Don't Preach 1986 and below Kelly's 2002 version

Lyrics

Papa I know you're going to be upset
'Cause I was always your little girl
But you should know by now
I'm not a baby

You always taught me right from wrong
I need your help, daddy please be strong
I may be young at heart
But I know what I'm saying

The one you warned me all about
The one you said I could do without
We're in an awful mess, and I don't mean maybe - please

[Chorus:]

Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
But I made up my mind, I'm keeping my baby, oh
I'm gonna keep my baby, mmm...

He says that he's going to marry me
We can raise a little family
Maybe we'll be all right
It's a sacrifice

But my friends keep telling me to give it up
Saying I'm too young, I ought to live it up
What I need right now is some good advice, please

[chorus]

Daddy, daddy if you could only see
Just how good he's been treating me
You'd give us your blessing right now
'Cause we are in love, we are in love, so please

[chorus]

Papa don't preach, I'm in trouble deep
Papa don't preach, I've been losing sleep
[repeat]

Oh, I'm gonna keep my baby, ooh
Don't you stop loving me daddy
I know, I'm keeping my baby
I know, I'm keeping my baby
I know, I'm keeping my baby

Does the car you drive determine how you behave on the road?

Spiegel's profession

Flirtologist Gives Some Flirting Advice

(
onlinedatingmagazine.com - April 20, 2004) Singles connect at everyday places by starting positive conversations, says Jill Spiegel, who describes herself as a Flirtologist.
Landing dates happens while waiting in line, getting a haircut, volunteering, or visiting a dog park, says Spiegel, who conducts flirting seminars and is author of the newly released The Flirtologist's Guide To Dating.
"There are 100 million singles in the U.S., and yet singles say it's hard to find dates. Our lifestyle can be a natural dating service when we stay alert to the people around us and connect through common topics," says Spiegel. "There is a myth that meeting singles and flirting is about being clever or witty. The truth is the top three qualities people look for in a first impression are warmth, genuineness and empathy, so think friendly when it comes to flirting."
When initiating conversations, Spiegel recommends saying something positive even if it's about the weather. Or pay a sincere compliment. Or ask a question -- people love to give their opinion. She also suggests you can be gentle and direct by admitting to someone you are nervous. That breaks the ice. Tell them you would regret not saying something.
Book Review
Many of Spiegel's pointers may seem like common sense to people who already date confidently. But for others, who don't know how to be themselves when the world puts pressure on us, having things laid out in a few simple steps takes some edge off meeting and greeting. And it's also nice to know we're not the only ones who need a little help sometimes.

This book appears to be a transcript of Spiegel's dating seminars. It has the breezy, cheerful tone of a motivational speech. Sometimes it's too rich on exclamation marks!

[This video just shows how history can influence one's success. Could go further into a PESTEL analysis... Ofcourse other people's success is a lot simplier, or not, going further back than the 70s...]

America obsessed! Royal love affair why?
  • The cultural affinity between Britain and the US is the bloodstream which nurtures the American fascination with Britain's royalty. Both The Queen with Helen Mirren and the King's Speech with Colin Firth produced a harvest of Oscars and box office profits, precisely because these films displayed monarchy with its human weaknesses.
  • In an era of the instant reality TV celebrity , there is something to be said for the more durable kind that comes with birth

FYI: Greece

Greece: How local’s may view this system of government: Inquisitors How neighbours may view this system of government: A water bearer
Greece

The current Pasok government in Athens inherited the disgracefully fiddled government financial books from the discredited outgoing conservative administration. Greece had faked its accounts. So there would be a penalty. Austerity/non-indulgence

Indeed in Budapest last week, at a meeting of European finance ministers, Greece was given a warning: don't back off reforms. We are reaching a point when the Greek people may not take further austerity. The past year has been marked by strikes. Everyone - or so it often seems - from truckers to journalists has at some stage or other walked out. They don't want the medicine enforced from Brussels or the IMF. There is a low-level of disobedience against paying toll charges. The government, casting around for revenue, may be about to slap a tax on fizzy drinks.

So why not go for a restructuring? Why shouldn't those banks in Germany and France take a hit? The fear is that those banks - particularly in Germany - remain fragile. A Greek default could usher in a wider banking crisis.

The President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, is in Greece today. His mood appears surprisingly chipper. "The threat of the (eurozone) crisis spreading has been reduced significantly, or disappeared" Like other European officials, he shuts the door to the idea of restructuring. He believes the reforms should be given time until they start to bring results

Why the EU had to bail out Greece

Globalisation in all its manifestations presents EU governments and institutions with an awkward choice. Just as a cyclist has to continue to move forward or risk falling off, the EU will have to move further and faster to share sovereignty, simply to be able to manage the new economic, financial, environmental and security challenges, or risk growing irrelevance.

Meanwhile, where will the next currency explosion occur? If so who will then show solidarity in coming to their aid? Being outside the euro might yet prove a very cold and vulnerable spot to be in.

cheer-ry

Tumble outta bed and I stumble to the kitchen
Pour myself a cup of ambition
Yawnin', stretchin', try to come to life
Jump in the shower and the blood starts pumpin'
Out on the streets the traffic starts jumpin'
And folks like me on the job from nine to five

Chorus:

Workin' nine to five
What a way to make a livin'
Barely gettin' by
It's all takin' and no givin'
They just use your mind
And they never give you credit
It's enough to drive you
Crazy if you let it

Nine to five, for service and devotion
You would think that I
Would deserve a fair promotion
Want to move ahead
But the boss won't seem to let me
I swear sometimes that man is out to get me
Mmmmm...

They let your dream
Just a' watch 'em shatter
You're just a step
On the boss man's ladder
But you got dreams he'll never take away

In the same boat with a lot of your friends
Waitin' for the day your ship'll come in
And the tide's gonna turn
And it's all gonna roll your way

2nd Chorus:

Workin' nine to five
What a way to make a livin'
Barely gettin' by
It's all takin' and no givin'
They just use your mind
And you never get the credit
It's enough to drive you
Crazy if you let it

Nine to five, yeah
They got you where they want you
There's a better life
And you think about it, don't you?
It's a rich man's game
No matter what they call it
And you spend your life
Puttin' money in his wallet

3rd Chorus:

Nine to five
What a way to make a livin'
Barely gettin' by
It's all takin' and no givin'
They just use you mind
And they never give you credit
It's enough to drive you
Crazy if you let it

Fade:

Nine to five, yeah
They got you where they want you
There's a better life
And you dream about it, don't you?
It's a rich man's game
No matter what they call it
And you spend your life
Puttin' money in his wallet

Royal Makeover

TEETH

She is said to have been receiving treatment from Harley Street specialist dentist Dr Didier Fillion since before her engagement. Dr Tif Qureshi, from the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, says it looks as though Kate has been secretly wearing braces — either removable or invisible fixed ones — to improve the alignment of her teeth. Treatments cost up to £7,000 and usually last several months. ‘It looks as though she’s had some whitening treatment and tooth edge augmention to make her teeth all the correct length. Bleaching treatments cost typically between £300 and £600,’ says Dr Qureshi.

BEHAVIOUR

Etiquette expert Jean Broke-Smith says ‘Kate is a gorgeous girl and has a very natural way with people. But her wave is still distinctly un-regal. I shouldn’t be surprised if her wave becomes more muted, transforming into a more subtle lifting of the hand , to acknowledge the crowd, but never having her fingers apart.’

BODY LANGUAGE

Gone is the spontaneous, natural confidence that endeared Kate to her future subjects, in its place a much more elegant poise.

‘She appears much more choreographed,’ says Judi. ‘Her head is now held very much higher and her shoulders have dropped, suggesting that she’s been told to stand straighter.’

‘She is also quite practised at what is known as “intense listening” where she engages in eye contact with people and makes them feel like the most important person in the world.’

Match sites: lying to get a match

Will always be an issue, long live Mark Morrison's theme

Well, I tried to tell you so (Yes, I did)
But I guess you didn't know, as the saddest story goes
Baby, now I got the flow cause I knew it from the start
Baby, when you broke my heart that I had to come again
And show you that I'm with

You lied to me
All those times I said that I loved you
You lied to me
Yes, I tried...

Return of the Mack
It is Return of the Mack...

or just You turned on the Mack

...Ahhhh, Mark
Stop worrying about your big break

Half-fantasy love match-maker

The Bachelor Officer and a Gentleman

Top Right: Susan

Bottom Left to right: Stephanie and Tessa

Boo-(eau)ty, Boo-(eau)ty, Boo-(eau)ty, Boo-(eau)ty rocking everywhere!

In real life, finding that right person is all about chance. Its something to moan about. Now in this game, theres absolute accuracy. Stephanie had the first best impression but didn't go far. In a group Susan may have been as dazzling as the rest, but only later did we realise she was too prissy: excessively prim, proper, particular and fussy.

Okay great, in the perfect world you can find your match and live happily ever after. No. After finding the perfect match, Tessa and Baldwin broke up

Left: Catherine Warren Miss USA pageant
Right: Danielle Imwalle Graphic Designer

People love to hear stories, real ones at least. He's sitting with Miss USA, who has nothing really to say, and to the right an ordinary woman, Danille, who makes it to the finals. I mean, Miss USA is hot just check out her picks on starnow.co.uk/catherinewarren . She didn't appeal to him, which makes perfect sense. Danielle on the other hand, had a story about her ex dying and getting a psychic reading. Its not just real stories, but sad ones, or at least ones that touch the groom/bride. You can find Danielle on Facebook, she's a real person!!

Linda and Tina Wu

Lets do a search criteria based on occupation and hobbies
Baldwin is an Ironman triathlete champion, enjoys exercising and a certified physician (his job).
Linda is a very competitve athlete, yet she got rejected. Perhaps she was so enthusiastic it came to the point of her being manly. Does this mean in a search your not looking for a mate/bro?
Tina Wu is a typical female geek. She's also into medicine, has spoken in front of Congress and the World Bank, and is just very very intelligent. She got rejected further on, the main factor in my opinion, her cultural roots: she was too polite, way too polite, she must have lived in Japan judging by her courtesy nod

Nicole and Blakeney having fun: good for them!

Alexis Young and Bevin Nicole Powers: for marriage

Ultimately, the women (and men) fall into two categories: those that are in it for the fun and those that are in it for the long run. (See it rhymes he-he)
Bevin had gone through marriage and was ready to make the second one work. If it weren't for
Tessa's incredible sense of humour, Bevin would have won.
As for Alexis, I think it came down to her upbringing. She got tagged with the titles 'virgin'
and 'conservative'. I think cause Baldwin was brought up conservative, he didn't want to go
through that with Alexis, if they ever got married
