Wcup semifinals
The South African Football Association (Safa) says tonight's match between South Africa and Namibia at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban is sold out. The international friendly forms part of the 100 days celebrations before the soccer spectacle, although today is the 99th day before the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Football commentator Deshi Baktawar says a strong win will give Bafana a much-needed confidence boost. Yesterday, Safa President Kirsten Nematendani said they are doing everything possible to support Bafana's technical team ahead of the World Cup.
Nematendani said they pulled all the stops to get arguably the best coach in the world to prepare the team for the world's biggest tournament. Bafana are currently training with one of Brazil’s top past players, Cafu.
Tonight’s match will be broadcast live on SABC 1.
